Where the numbers come from
BLS Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS), monthly county series, retrieved 2026-10-08. October 2025 was not published (federal lapse in appropriations). It appears as a break in the timeline, never as zero. Connecticut's eight historical counties have no current LAUS series (replaced by nine planning regions, not coextensive).
